Program Coursework
Our training coursework will directly affect client retention through results, injury prevention, and success in promoting a Pilates program in the marketplace. It will include all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
General Course Objectives
- How to apply biomechanic principles of core stability, mobility, breathing and alignment to relevant exercises
- Breakdown of essential, intermediate, and advanced level exercises
- Exercise principles, initiation of muscular movement, and sequencing
- Variations to increase or decrease exercise intensity
- Modifications for specific body types, postural issues, and conditions
- Effective communication, visual skills, verbal cueing and imagery for performance enhancement, and client motivation
- A working knowledge of functional anatomy, Pilates training, and three-plus years of teaching movement or fitness
