Program Coursework

Our training coursework will directly affect client retention through results, injury prevention, and success in promoting a Pilates program in the marketplace. It will include all levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.

General Course Objectives

  • How to apply biomechanic principles of core stability, mobility, breathing and alignment to relevant exercises
  • Breakdown of essential, intermediate, and advanced level exercises
  • Exercise principles, initiation of muscular movement, and sequencing
  • Variations to increase or decrease exercise intensity
  • Modifications for specific body types, postural issues, and conditions
  • Effective communication, visual skills, verbal cueing and imagery for performance enhancement, and client motivation
  • A working knowledge of functional anatomy, Pilates training, and three-plus years of teaching movement or fitness
